A FESTIVAL OF NEW TEN MINUTE PLAYS

September 18 & 19, 2025
IN THE Olsen Theater at the Sharon Playhouse

Now in its fifth year, the Writers Playground Festival is a vibrant celebration of local voices and creative storytelling. This annual event provides writers, performers, directors, and technicians from the Northwest Corner of Connecticut—as well as nearby communities in New York and Massachusetts—a chance to develop and share their work on stage, right in their own backyard.

More than just a showcase, the festival is a platform for artistic exploration, encouraging participants to use their voices, ideas, and creativity as powerful tools for self-expression.

Join us for an evening of fresh, bold, and diverse short plays that bring our community together through the magic of live theater.
