The Sharon Playhouse Holiday YouthStage Production
Each winter, The Sharon Playhouse proudly presents the Annual Holiday YouthStage Production, a cherished tradition that brings together talented young performers from across our community. Students ages 12–18 are invited to audition and become part of this festive theatrical experience.

There is no tuition for students cast in this production—participation is completely free for our young actors.
Past Holiday YouthStage Productions have included A Charlie Brown Christmas, Elf Jr., The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, and A Christmas Carol—beloved stories that have delighted audiences and given young performers the chance to shine onstage during the holiday season.

Seeking local actors, singers, and movers between the ages of 12 and 18 for the Sharon Playhouse Holiday YouthStage Production of Peter Pan, playing December 17-21, 2025
Auditions: Sunday, October 19, 2025
This is a production that will feature local youth (ages 12-18). In order to audition, individuals must turn 12 years old by October 19, 2025. These are volunteer positions and there is no fee to participate.
It is likely that not all actors who audition will be cast.
Round 1: 10am-1pm
Those auditioning will be assigned a 4-minute time slot between 10am and 1pm. During the 4-minute time slot, actors will perform a scene and sing a short song.
See below for the audition materials that actors should prepare.
Round 2: 2:00-4:00pm
All individuals auditioning will be called during this time. This block of time will consist of reading scenes from the script and singing callbacks. There is nothing that actors need to prepare for this portion of the audition.
General Rehearsal Details:
General rehearsals will take place between Saturday, October 25 and Friday, December 12. See below for Tech Rehearsal dates. General rehearsals will take place a few weekday evenings and one or two weekend days, per week. A conflict sheet will be submitted at auditions so that a master schedule can be crafted. IMPORTANT: Actors will not be called for all dates/times listed on the conflict sheet. We understand youth have other commitments, so there is some flexibility. Youth availability will be collected to create a rehearsal schedule that serves the entire company. A final schedule will be shared by Saturday, October 25, 2025, after casting is complete.
Tech and Performance Details:
TECH REHEARSALS: Saturday, December 13 - Tuesday, December 16.
PERFORMANCES: Wednesday, December 17 at 7pm, Thursday, December 18 at 7pm, Friday December 19 at 7pm, Saturday December 20 at 3pm and 7pm, and Sunday, December 21 at 2pm.
The actor’s call time will be 90 minutes before curtain. All actors will be required to participate in STRIKE on Sunday, December 21 after the show finishes from 3:30-5:30pm.

Audition Materials:
For their 4-minute time slot in round 1 of auditions, actors should prepare two things: a scene and a song.
The Scene: please prepare the following scene. Auditioners can choose to play either Hook or Smee in the following scene. A reader will read the other part in the audition. The scene does not need to be memorized - the actors can hold the paper in their hand. PETER PAN AUDITION SIDE.pdf
The Song: please be prepared to sing this short clip from the song, “Jingle Bell Rock.” This does not need to be memorized - actors can hold the paper in their hands. In the audition, actors will sing with the accompaniment track (without other voices). Please be prepared to sing the song all the way through in your usual style. You may also be asked to sing it a second time with a playful “pirate” character interpretation.
